about this layout
This layout is named "Valentine's Delay" after a song by The Higher, and of course, its in iFrames. It's the first layout I've made for people to download. It's also image mapped. this is what a link looks like. This also has a little scissor that looks like its about to "cut" across the dotted line of the header. I think this was a really cool idea! but as for the text, it might hide a letter or two, but you can always scroll if you have enough context so that isnt really a problem.
how to use this layout
Sure I've crated layouts before, but this was the first time I had to make it so that other people can understand how to edit it other than myself, and that was quite a task. So let me tell you a few things on how to edit this layout if you plan to use it:
let me start by briefly telling you what
iFrames are: They're layouts with one .index page and the rest of the pages
appear in a little box as you can see. If you want to edit the context on the
pages, you're going to have to go to a text editor your host provides you [freewebs,
gecities, angelfire, etc.], FrontPage, or even simply Notepad, and open that
page. note to self: do not open/edit the index page! after you've done
that, simply edit the text! you can add images and such as well, obviously. in
order to add a header just put <p class="head">name of header</p></head>
and just change the "name of header" into what ever you want it to be, just like
for this one its "how to use this layout". make sure all your text comes
before the </div> part, or else you'll get something weird.
now about the navigation: there are 5 pages in this layout
excluding the index. These pages are home, about, additional1,
additional2, and copyrights&disclaimers. if you know how to edit
the html right, you can change the names of the pages and the links. If you
don't, mind as well leave them alone or ask someone for help. another note to
self: don't message me about this type of stuff, there are more than enough
sites explaining html, plus its common sense. the about page doesn't have to
be an about page, and the additional pages could be what ever you want them to
be. their url doesn't really matter since no one will be seeing them on the
address bar anyway. but what ever you do, do not remove anything from the
copyrights&disclaimers page! you'll get your butt sued. you may,
however, add to it if needed.
