history links What are History Links you ask? History links are normal links that can navigate the page to to either back to whichever page the viewer was before or the page where they were before they went back. Yes, it sounds a little confusing when I put it in words but I'm sure you all understand what I mean (especially now that I mention that they function the same as your internet browser's forward and back buttons) To go Back: <a href="javascript: history.back(-1)">Back</a> To go Forwards: <a href="javascript: history.forward(-2)">Forward</a>
Those codes function like the following: You can present these on your page like I did up here. You
want to put them in your navigation bar or wherever it's visible for the user.
This can usually go under the "main" section of your navigation bar (and a link
to your index would go really well with these!) |
